Circonlex was founded by two multi-lingual practicing lawyers with experience in international transactions and litigation. They saw a need to produce high quality translations of legal and financial documents and at a lower cost than what a traditional law firm would bill for the same service.
We understand that the average translator probably does not have the vocabulary and reflexes to efficiently translate your legal documents. That is why Circonlex uses translators who are qualified to practice law in their jurisdiction or can justify significant legal and/or legal translation experience. This demand for the relevant training and experience results in legal translations which are at the very least equal that if it were done internally by a lawyer. And of course, the end result is an overall lower cost.

Robert Bell, founder and managing director, holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech, a J.D. from Tulane Law School and a Masters 2 (formerly a DESS) in Intellectual Property (M2 Propriété Industrielle) from Université Paris II - Panthéon-Assas.  He is a member of the New York Bar and has the necessary qualification to practice law in France (CAPA).

Donald "D." Miller, founder and director, holds a B.A. in French, Italian Spanish and Portuguese as well as a J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin and a DEJEI from the Université de Paris X, he has also studied at the Università Cattolica di Milano. He is a member of the New York Bar and practiced as an attorney for over 8 years.
